Apex Igbo socio-Cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Cross River State Chapter, has commended Governor Ben Ayade on his industrialisation drive, promising to work with him to ensure its actualisation.

The association also congratulated him on his re-election and enjoined him to see his second coming as an opportunity to better the lives of the citizenry.

In a statement signed by the President and Secretary, Ugorji Nwabuez, Esq, and Prince Alozie Uhochukwu respectively, after its second quarterly meeting held at Gomex Plaza, Calabar, the organisation said the present administration has demonstrated enough good will and readiness to work with Ndigbo in the last four years.

The statement read in part: “We enjoin Your Excellency to partner with Ndigbo in his industrialization drive especially in the Deep Sea Port project to ensure maximum utilization on completion. We restate our commitment and willingness to partner with the state government to promote commerce and industry.
“We use this opportunity to congratulate the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Prof Sen. Ben Ayade, and Deputy Governor, Ivara Esu, on their re-election and subsequent swearing-in for the second term.
“His overwhelming support at the poll is a demonstration of the love the electorate has for him and we are optimistic that his second coming would bring more smiles on the people
“The organization deeply appreciates the good gesture of H.E. Ben Ayade by attending the Ohanaeze Day Celebration and the 28th Anniversary of the Leadership of Eze Sir E. A Ezenwenyi, the Eze-Igbo and father of Igbo in Cross River, which was held on November 24, 2018 at Abraham Ordia Stadium.
“We sincerely thank you for fulfilling some of the promises made to Ndigbo. We are indeed very grateful.”

The organisation, made up all the affiliate unions from the 18 local government areas of the state, said it remains grateful to the host communities for the cordial relationship and mutual cooperation existing between the hosts and Ndigbo.
The statement enjoined members to remain firmly, united and indivisible with sole aim of working in harmony among member unions.
