In the spirit of the season and to spice up the celebration of Eid-El-Kabir, the OJB Support Foundation has given out numerous packages to Muslim faithful.
The packages, which contained food items like rice, beans, noodles, salt, tomato paste and other items, were shared across the Muslim faithful in Ojodu and Ikeja areas of Lagos. About 120 of the packages were shared across Ojodu area and another 300 packages across other areas. The leaders in the aforementioned areas were not left out of the largesse by the Foundation.
According to the President of the Foundation, Hon. Olaide John Bello, popularly known as OJB, it was the Foundation’s little contribution to add to the joy of the people during the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
In his words, “The devastating effects of Covid-19 should not make us lose the spirit of sacrifice and giving as depicted by the Eid-El-Kabir. The packages shared by the Foundation is our own little contribution to the lives of the people during this year’s celebration. I encourage all of us to share love amongst ourselves and remember especially the indigent as we celebrate. Nothing is too small to add to the joy of others”.
“I equally want to advise that we should be moderate in the celebration of Eid-El-Kabir. We must also not forget the precautionary measures of regular hand washing, use of hand sanitizers, social distancing and the use facemasks as posited by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and the Lagos State Government. I wish our Muslim faithful joyful Eid-El-Kabir celebration!” Hon OJB concluded.
