Ndigbo in Lagos State have been thrown into morning following the demise of the oldest Eze in Lagos State, Eze Anthony Elui, who was the Ezendigbo in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Pa Elui passed on at the weekend at the age of about 80 years.
Eze Anthony Elui became the oldest Ezendigbo in Lagos following the death of late Hyacinth Ohazuruike who passed on last year.
Eze Anthony Elui will be greatly missed especially by Ndigbo in Amuwo Odofin LGA, where he was the traditional leader before he passed on.
As announced by the family, the patriarch until his demise, was a dedicated and committed traditional ruler who strived to ensure peaceful co-existence amongst his subjects and their neighbours.
He would be greatly missed by all especially his Igbo Community in Amuwo Odofin.
He will be buried in his home town, Oba, in Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State, on the 3rd of March, 2026, while the proper burial arrangements comes up soonest as released by the Family.
He was survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
