ONC Hails Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo Over Training Of 140 Constituents On Lithium-Based Street Light Installation

The Orashi National Congress, ONC, a notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, has highly commended the Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, for the successful training of 140 constituents on Lithium-Based Street Light Installation and Maintenance.

 

In a statement, the President General of ONC, Ambassador Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, described the initiative as a landmark empowerment programme that directly addresses unemployment and promotes renewable energy development in the region.

Amb. Ibe said the Congress is proud of Senator Banigo’s commitment to human capital development.

“We wish to register our heartfelt appreciation to Senator Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, our performance-oriented lawmaker, for the successful training and empowerment of 140 young people in our Senatorial District,” he stated.

 

The ONC noted that the programme went beyond training, as beneficiaries were also provided with starter packs and funding to commence businesses in the renewable energy sector.

The Congress described the initiative as one of the most sustainable responses to unemployment and poverty, adding that equipping youths with practical technical skills remains critical to national growth.

“Senator Harry Banigo has with this shown her strong desire to invest in human capital. Empowering young people with relevant technical skills is key to driving economic growth and community development,” Amb. Ibe said.

ONC posited that the country’s future would depend largely on a generation equipped with productive skills capable of contributing meaningfully to nation-building, rather than dwelling on socio-economic challenges.

The Congress urged Nigerian youths to channel their energy towards acquiring skills and entrepreneurship.

It also called on the 140 beneficiaries to deploy the knowledge acquired for the benefit of their families, communities, Rivers State, and the nation at large.

“We highly appreciate Senator Ipalibo Harry-Banigo for not just training, but for empowering participants to become self-reliant business owners in the renewable energy sector,” the statement added.

The ONC reaffirmed its support for leaders and programmes focused on youth empowerment, skills acquisition, and sustainable development across the Niger Delta.
