Senator Solomon Adeola, the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate has expressed great shock and sadness at the sudden demise of Rt. Honourable Emmanuel Soyemi Coker, who passed on at the age of 66 years while preparing to go to church for Sunday service.
In a condolence message to the immediate family members of the deceased who served as a chairman of Odeda Local Government and a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly under Otunba Gbenga Daniel as Governor, where he served as a Speaker of the state legislature for a while, the Senator said his tragic loss is not only a loss to the immediate family but Ogun State and the nation.
“The loss of Honourable Coker came at a time when his wealth of experience in public service is still needed by the state and the nation. He was scheduled to meet with me as part of my consultation in the ongoing politics of Ogun State as one of the apex APC leaders of Odeda Local Government. His demise is a loss to the state of a legislator with experience in conflict management and governance,” the senator stated.
Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and the fortitude for members of the immediate family of the dearly departed to bear the irreparable loss of a loved one.
