The President General of the ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), in his speech said, “It is with great pleasure and intense gratefulness that by the special grace of God Almighty I led this great delegation for a courtesy visit to you sir, in appreciation of your faithful discharge of duties as the Commanding Officer, COAS Intervention Battalion Headquarters, Ahoada towards the promotion of security, healthy-cohesion and peaceful coexistence among the people within Ahoada jurisdiction”.

We are here to welcome you and to congratulate you on your assumption of office. We thank you for providing effective security support in Ahoada and we assure you of our cooperation.”

The Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. M. Y. Shimfe, in his response stated that he was impressed with the objectives of the ONC. He promised to work with the Congress towards achieving the mandate of the COAS Intervention Battalion.
Lt. Col. Shimfe assured that his door is open for collaboration. He said that the visit of delegation was timely and the ONC is the first group to identify with the Intervention Battalion and it is a welcome development.
