The President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), Ambassador Emeni Ibe, has led a delegation of the group on a courtesy visit to the Area Pastor of Salvation Ministries, Ahoada, reaffirming the Congress’ commitment to peace, unity, and community development in the Orashi region.

Speaking during the visit, the ONC PG, Ambassador Ibe, expressed appreciation to the church for its consistent role in promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence across the region, which comprises Ahoada East, Ahoada West, Abua/Odual, and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government areas.

He noted that the visit was also aimed at demonstrating solidarity and total support for the church’s upcoming crusade scheduled for 10th April, 2026, themed “God Bless Orashi.”

According to him, the ONC, as an independent socio-cultural organization, remains committed to advocating sustainable security, national unity, and justice, while encouraging dialogue and collaboration with security agencies in resolving conflicts.

Ambassador Ibe further highlighted the Congress’ ongoing initiatives, including public enlightenment campaigns on arms surrender, anti-cultism and anti-kidnapping drives, anti-pipeline vandalization and anti-bunkering campaigns, as well as peace walks and security workshops aimed at fostering civilian-military cooperation.

He emphasized that the Congress is focused on creating a conducive environment for development by addressing youth restiveness and other social vices affecting the region.

The ONC leader also called for strengthened partnership with the church in advancing peaceful coexistence and community engagement.

He concluded by formally endorsing the Ahoada Crusade and reaffirming the Congress’ support for the leadership of the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries.

The visit marks another step in ONC’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with key stakeholders in promoting peace and development across the Orashi region.
