Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, is set to endorse the Distinguished lawmaker representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Senator Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo, for another term.
According to the ONC President General, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, the endorsement ceremony is scheduled to take place on 26th April, 2026, at the Special Convention of the Congress slated for County High School, Ahoada, Rivers State, by 11am.
Speaking about the endorsement event, Amb Ibe said, “Following the decision of the leadership of the Orashi National Congress buoyed by quality representation by our Distinguished Lawmaker, Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo, at the National Assembly, the ONC is set to openly show our strong support by endorsing our mother and leader for another term”.
“We arrived at the decision looking at her noticeable presence during deliberations on the floor of the Senate and the numerous empowerment programmes, which she has carried out in order to ameliorate the situation of teeming Constituents and lift many out of poverty and joblessness.”
“We therefore, consider it expedient to identify with her quality representation and endorse her for re-election. We have plans in place to engage our people at the grassroots after the endorsement ceremony for massive mobilisation towards ensuring her victory at the polls.”
“The ONC is hereby calling on members and supporters to turn out in large numbers from across Orashi region and Rivers State to participate in the “historic and decisive event” ahead of the 2027 general elections.”
