The home town of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode played host to the reigning African women footballer of the year, Nigerian Asisat Oshoala when the train of the first Asisat Oshoala/Lagos State Secondary Schools Girls Football Clinic hit the town on Tuesday.
PM EXPRESS reports that Epe Grammar School was a beehive of activities as the students from across 10 different schools in the town converged to learn more about the rudiments of the round leather game from Oshoala and Birmingham football Scout, Ali Al Roz.
Oshoala was seen given the students the basics of football and tutored them the need to face their education while they are pursuing a career in female football.
The former Liverpool of England player had a lot to tell a girl child in Lagos, from how she started from a low background and rose to the stardom in world football.
Certificates of participation, cash and scholarships award were given to the students.
At the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Wednesday, Asisat Oshoala was on ground for another set of schools girls who trooped out in their numbers to learn from their role model and mentor.
