CHYBYKE JONES
Initially, the PDP/Peter Obi said Buhari was not undertaking any Infrastructural project in Nigeria, according to them, the “noise” about Buhari littering the country with life changing infrastructural projects which when completed will drive the economy of Nigeria, “are all lies”.
Now that Mr Peter Obi and his co-travellers can no longer say “they’re all lies”, he has suddenly propounded another voodoo economic theory which states that; “Infrastructures cannot drive the economy”.
If the US Senate could just recently pass an infrastructure bill of $1.2trillion as proposed by the Biden administration aimed at supporting robust economic recovery post covid-19, how much more Nigeria?
Obviously, there is serious confusion in the enemies camp. Recall, Mr. Peter Obi as Governor believed and argued strongly that sustainable economic development of Anambra depended so much on massive Infrastructural development. He equally went all out to pursue same. How come he now thinks otherwise? How come an astute businessman like Peter Obi does not know the indispensable role of infrastructures in economic development of any locality? Is he under any pressure to please anyone? What’s really happening to my dear big brother?
Well, I am not too surprised because I have always been super convinced that President Muhammadu Buhari will someday profusely confuse conmen who masquerade as messiahs. Whether we agree or not, Buhari’s approach to governance is simply saintly!
