All is set for the Nicon Town Recreational Club Top 4 Pool Challenge which holds on Saturday 24 August, 2019.
The draws for the 8-ball pool championship endorsed by the Snooker and Pool Players Alliance (SPPA) was held on Thursday night at the club.
An official of SPPA , Joachim Idada supervised the draw which produced the first two match ups of the challenge on Saturday between the topmost ranked player Charles Agbezin and Babatunde Odukoya the fourth ranked player, while the second game of the day will see the third ranked player Chijioke Isiolu confront the second ranked player Joshua Brume.
The winners of the match ups will play in the final while the losers have to contend with each other in the losers final.
Meanwhile, the players are geared up for Saturday’s face off as they are optimistic of their chances of picking the prizes at stake.
Chijioke Isiolu the number 3 ranked player going into the challenge believes he is well primed for the task to become the maiden champion.
“It is going to be quite interesting and I am keeping my strategy close to my chest, watch out for me on Saturday ” he said.
Number two ranked Joshua Brume is also not leaving anything to chance.
“I am prepped up for the challenge and I am ready to win on Saturday “.
According to the organisers the champion of the challenge will go home with a cash prize.
