The police have started manhunt for one Pastor Promise Sylvanus, for the confusion he caused in connection with the prophecy he gave to one, Mr. Sunny Awale, in a church in Lagos; to sow seed with his Toyota Camry car.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped from police sources that 8 months after giving the prophecy that Pastor Sylvanus went back to the donor, told him that God did not ask him to sow the seed and that he should go to the church and take back his car.

The incident happened at a popular church located at Governor’s Road in Ikotun area of Lagos.

The prophecy had now caused a rift between Mr. Awale and the General Overseer of the church where Pastor Sylvanus preached as a guest pastor on a Sunday service. The matter was reported to the Office of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring team, Lagos Annex and the General Overseer was arrested and detained to provide the car which church had already sold.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Pastor Sylvanus now at large, went to the church and called out Mr. Awale during the church service and gave him prophecies concerning his life and Awale believed all that he told him. It was gathered that Sylvanus told him that he must sow a seed as covenant with God to prevent him from experiencing calamity. Mr. Awale then declared in the church that he was sowing his car and equally made a donation of about N100,000 to the church. He went ahead and prepared the deed of transfer, brought out the car documents, prayed, dropped them at the church altar and left.

The church prayed for him, anointed him with holy oil and asked God to reward him. It was gathered that one week after the church service, Pastor Sylvanus called the General Overseer of the church and asked him pay N500,000 into his account because it was through him that God revealed the prophecy. The G.O. then replied him that he did not know what he was talking about as the seed was to the church and not to him as the G.O.

It was learnt that after several months, Sylvanus called Mr. Awale on phone, asked him to go back to the church and collect his car as that prophecy came from him and not God.
Police sources said that the pastor was declared wanted as he had refused to show up and explain more why he had to cause such confusion with his prophecy which had torn the G.O. and his members apart.
The market valued of the car in question was put at N2.5m and had been sold to a buyer, and the money had been put into the expansion of the church.
