It’s cheering to spur inclusive growth for the security agencies in Nigeria police to remain in a joint efforts with journalists in Nigeria to work in tandem to combat or reduce crime and criminalities.

Undoubtedly, the unprecedented level of crime in Nigeria has appallingly reached a balloon dimension and need to be deflated.
Often times, one hear about crimes in many ways performed in a spine chilling horror perspective, sometimes leaving the victims with harrowing hope. The narratives about crimes  in Nigeria have left this country in a hopelessness aberration.

Meanwhile, the country is in dire need of swift collaboration efforts amongst all security apparati, the conceptual security architecture towards reducing crime to the barest minimum.
In a complex and contemporary societies, such as in Nigeria, one therefore couldn’t imagine why the police and journalists cannot team up to effectively submerge the criminals through exposure and possible arrest of such individuals wrecking havoc in the society. Thus people must biab  the Police and journalist systemically about criminal  activities. While Nigerians are nursing the impact of insecurity in the country, it will be a intolerable mistake for the  two compatible bodies be incompatible working in isolation of the other.

The Nigerian Police and the journalists were the two lions littered in one day. No one is greater than the other.
Rhetorically, it always said that the pen is mightier than  the sword. But today without qualms the pen is weaker than the gun. This is Nigeria factor. As  the police came from the concept of British colonial Police, journalist were the early watchdogs of the society and the world at large. In carrying out the responsibility of protecting lives and properties of the citizens, the police must dissolved their superiority over journalists to a comparative advantages of the nations security.

One expresses optimism that the Police officer on duty is there to defend the defenseless citizen against criminals. As well journalist working under hectic condition as watchdogs is also defending the defenseless .But regrettably, most often, one could witness where a police officer molest, harass and unreasonable bully a journalist in the course of discharging his or her constitutional responsibility. It’s a commendable and acceptable fact that the police perform their duties well. But, equally at times, one hear that police allegedly uses their guns unprofessionally and unreasonably on members of the public.

On this juncture, it is undoubtedly and unbelievably true that Igbo proverb say “the person  whom  I beckoned to go on a hunting spree, could tell you my legs are that of animal.

However, Nigerians having  the believe and good intentions that the Police and journalist would develop working relationship and cooperation that could result in achieving the reduction of crime rate in Nigeria.

Notably, not doing the needful or continuing on the poor growth of combine efforts of the police and journalists will increase the consequence of strategic mistake in taking proactive measures in stamping  out criminal activities in the society.
Unarguably, the obvious concept of the Nigerian security agencies including the Police to work with the journalists, lies on the Inspector General of police Adamu to look inwardly and direct all police authorities in all the divisions to liaise with the journalist towards enhancing the synergy of security in the country. Journalists are also partners in the War against criminals (WAC) in Nigeria.

Nigerians maybe for once heave a sigh of relief, if a personality in the person of a Senior Police Officer, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the newly created Zone 13, at Ukpo Dunukofia L.G.A, Anambra State, Mr. Mohammed Dan Mallam who express his avowed determination to bring his professional experience to bear in dealing with all groups and has promised to end the crisis of confidence between farmers herders in the zone: Mr. Dan Mallam Mohammed who knew what it takes to protect lives and properties of the citizens is all about, assured the people of the three out of five Eastern states(Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi States) that were carved out from the Zone 9 Umuahia that he will provide will provide with his men water tight security to the zone.

He further stated that the people of Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states would enjoy unbiased security under his watch. This few expositions of AIG, Mr. Mohammed Dan Mallam were evidences of his exemplary experience to control and consolidate the zone to rid it of criminals and criminal related incidents.
In view of the above assertive statements, AIG, Dan Mallam Mohammed has assumed office with zeal and zest. Such Police boss is a man of unequal personality and is highly welcome to Anambra and Zone 13 at Ukpo Dunukofia L.G.A Anambra state.Contrary to what Nigerian populace think about the police are false, while sane Nigerians will evaluate the actions of some police officers as conscientiously not encouraging.
Certainly, in the view of many Nigerians, Police have no good image, but officers like IGP Adamu and AIG Dan Mallam Mohammed are image boosters and personality per excellence to bring new order to the Nigerian Police.
