President Tinubu Rejoices With Remi Olowu As She Clocks 80

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu warmly congratulates Oluremi Debbie Olowu, pioneer Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), as she marks her 80th birthday.

The statement adds that her tenure as Director-General of NEMA (1999 to 2002) remains one of the defining years of her distinguished career.

 

It further discloses that she provided leadership at a critical period and helped transform the organisation from what was essentially a relief-oriented department

into a more structured emergency humanitarian institution.
