Buruj FC kid dynamite, Raheem Salaudeen, has expressed his happiness ahead of his 14th Birthday anniversary after he helped his Buruj FC to pick their first point on the final day of the Nationwide League One ( NLO DIV 1) describing the point as a perfect birthday gift from his teammates.

With just four days to his birthday, Raheem Salaudeen said that the point won against Emmydinho was a perfect birthday gift from his teammates.

The Ikorodu based team impressed on the final day after forcing Emmydinho FC to a 2-2 draw at the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle Lagos, against all expectations to end the season on a high.

It was a general improvement in team performance as the Ikorodu based displayed grit and determination to end their winless streak following a spirted performance against Ojodu City FC in the previous match day.

They eventually left the stadium raising their head up as they gave a good account of themselves.

Wonder kid, Raheem Salaudeen, saved his best for the last with a commanding midfield performance, making his presence count in the middle to the delight of the fans.

It was a good follow up to his wonderful performance against Ojodu FC, where he provided the assist to their only goal in the game after he was fouled n the box for a penalty kick, which was converted by the captain of the team and Goalkeeper, Inyang Edet.

The match started on a fast pace with Emmydinho FC brimming with confidence, as both sides went into the game looking for their first win after enduring a winless streak in their previous nine matches in the league.

Emmydinho opened scoring in the opening minute of the game but Buruj responded almost immediately with an equaliser a few minutes later.

Emmydinho scored again in the game, but a relentless team performance anchored on a fluid midfield play, where Raheem Salaudeen featured prominently ensured Buruj FC picked their first point, scored more than one goal in a game and ended a losing run of nine genes by getting an equaliser late in the first half to force Emmydinho to a 2-2 draw.

A visibly elated Raheem Salaudeen expresses his happiness after the match, “I am happy for the team, picking a point in this game after a lot of people have written us off. And I am taking it home as a perfect birthday gift as I will be celebrating my 14th birthday on Monday, the 13-year old told reporters after the match.
