EMMANUEL UGWUMBA

It is time we stop lying to ourselves. The so called zoning is a gimmick being employed by the ruling cabal to get the support of the Ukwa Ngwa nation and to continue to enrich themselves at the expense of the entire Abia people.

When T. A. Orji got it at the alter of zoning it did not change the fortunes of Umuahia people. Ndi Umuahia are now more impoverished than they were before their brother T. A. Orji became the governor.

Please don’t let this people deceive us again. The entire Abia State needs development and prosperity, it’s time to look for someone who can do it; it doesn’t matter the zone and the political party he comes from.

This is why I am using this opportunity to ask Ukwa Ngwa sons and daughters both in APC and other political parties to support Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah. He is the only person that has told us what he will do for the entire Abia state and his plan will surely benefit the Ukwa Ngwa nation.

The man we have there now who claims to represent Ndi Ukwa Ngwa does not even have a plan to develop Ukwa Ngwa land not to talk of the entire state. All they want is to use the “Ukwa Ngwa nation” to leverage power for themselves and to enrich their pocket.

Generally, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah plans to develop the entire Abia State and has mapped out various investments that will be made in different parts of the state. Beyond his world class infrastructural development plan, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah has identified the areas that Abia State has potentials to attract investment, including:

(i) Agro-Allied Industries:
Cassava starch and flour
Fruits and vegetables canning

(ii) Textiles:
Cotton socks
Fishing nets
Mosquito nets

(iii) Industrial Minerals/Quarrying:
Glass industry
Table ware
Aggregate plant (stone crushing plant)

(iv) Plastic Industry:
Plastic manufacture
Bottles, flask, cans, tubes, tiles

(v) Chemical  Industry:
Polyethylene
Explosives
Self-Adhesive Tape
Pulp and paper

(vi) Oil and Gas

Specifically, To quicken the pace of industrial development in Ukwa Ngwa , Dr Uche Ogah has a plan to embark on direct industrial establishments and to enter into joint ventures with entrepreneurs in the private sector. His plan will drive development in Ukwa Ngwa land and open up our hinter communities.

Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah in his plan recognizes Aba, the famed commercial capital of south eastern Nigeria, as possessing the expertise and savvy to reproduce any technological product manufactured anywhere in the world. He made it known that skilled and unskilled manpower abound in Aba, while raw materials for vast array of products are readily available.

In addition to the world class infrastructural development master plan for Aba, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah’s vision for the state is to reclaim Aba’s dominance in clothing, shoes, bags, and raw materials market for West Africa, Central Africa sub regions and other foreign markets. All for the benefit of Abia State and the Ukwa Ngwa nation.

His plan for Ukwa Ngwa nation also include:

1. Abala Technology Incubation Center (22.42 acres). With this, the artisan skills of the Ngwa nation will gain international reputation and will through this industrial hub develop into a modern technology hub. All on Ukwa Ngwa land.

2. Enyimba 1 Industrial Fashion Heartland, Osisioma (78 acres). This will no doubt attract industries and shopping malls and open up more Ukwa Ngwa landscape.

3. Enyimba 2 Inter-model Business Park, Obingwa (90 acres). Will take development further into the hinter communities of Ukwa Ngwa land and encourage new towns development from there to Aba.

4. Export Processing Zone, Azumini (22.42 acres). This will bring about the rapid industrialization and economic development of the entire Ukwa East and West and transform that part of Abia into an international business environment.

5. Isiala Ngwa- Industrial Hub (22.42 acres). With this in place Isiala Ngwa will see development on it’s doorstep.

7. Above these, Dr Uche Ogah  has plans to set up Eco-Industrial Parks in Ukwa Ngwa land. These eco-industrial parks will bring environmental, social and economic benefits: environmental consciousness, development and jobs to Ukwa Ngwa land.

I believe in his capacity to do it because of what we have seen him do and how much he has invested on the good people of Abia. He has the financial engineering skills to raise the capital for the rapid development of Ukwa Ngwa and the entire Abia State as he has done in his private business.

Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah currently employs directly and indirectly over eighteen thousand  (18,000) workers and he has the largest industrial estate in South Eastern Nigeria, with 12 industries located in Abia state on thousands of acres of land. Not even any of our Ukwa Ngwa brothers and sisters who are part of this government and those that have made billions from government can boast of one standard industry located in their community that provides employment for Ukwa Ngwa youths. But they are  quick to tell us that Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah who has made such great impact on our people with a great plan for Ukwa Ngwa should not be given the opportunity to lead us. Just because they want to satisfy their zoning opportunistic tendencies.

It’s time to say the truth, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah will serve the Ukwa Ngwa nation better than those who seek power on the basis of zoning without plan.
