The Founder and Senior Pastor of the City of Dominion Deliverance Ministry aka Grace Tabernacle, Apostle (Barr.) Mary Sherry Osakwe has urged spinsters to return to old values and absent from sex before marriage as that will enable them to get good husbands.
Apostle Osakwe gave the advice on the heels of the outcry of some single ladies decrying the challenge of getting husbands in the society. She noted that there was serious apathy in marriage by single men due to the economic situation, but added that ladies with virtues will still get good husbands despite the odds once such woman respect herself.
She reminded the ladies that men were always watching their conducts and behaviours in the society and the serious among them will get husbands in as much as such ladies exhibit the virtues expected of good wives.
“Do you expect a man that had tested a woman’s virtue for years and saw no strong value to have attraction to such woman?” She asked.
She advised that women should engage themselves with work and make their own money as that will add value to any relationship and earn such women respect before men.
The Delta-State- born Osakwe said that she had a call from God despite the fact that she was an established legal practitioner and had practiced for years. She explained that when the call came she had no option than to answer the voice of God for the benefit of the society.
She said apart from the teaching of the gospel, her ministry was focused on the principle of empowering and teaching people on how to be self reliant, by teaching and showing them how to fish and feed other people.
She emphasized that was why the church embarked on some programmes aimed at exposing the members to different skills acquisition and other businesses, so that they can be useful to themselves and the society.
Osakwe said despite the economic challenges in the country, there were rays of hope for the people and therefore urged all to be patient and persevere as victory will come at the end of it all.
She further hinted that the church will be celebrating its second thanksgiving to mark their anniversary to thank God for His mercy and protection. The theme of the thanksgiving was given as: The Harvest of Exceeding Greatness, quoting Genesis 26: 12-13. She added that God has been faithful to the church with blessings as they have continued to increase and expand.
She explained that ministers of God within and outside the state will attend the event this November at the church premises located at 50 Ogunbambi Street, hostel bus stop, Egbe, Lagos.
