Rite Foods Limited has strengthened its position as one of Nigeria’s leading homegrown brands, rising five places from 22nd position in 2025 to 17th in the 2026 Top 50 Brands Nigeria Ranking.

The achievement marks the company’s entry into the country’s top 20 most recognized brands and emphasizes its growing influence in Nigeria’s competitive consumer market.

This recognition marks another significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory, reflecting sustained investment in quality, innovation, product development, and real consumer engagement.

Since its debut on the ranking, Rite Foods has maintained an impressive upward progression, moving from 50th position in 2021 to 44th in 2022, 30th in 2023, when it emerged as the highest-gainer brand with a 14-place leap. It subsequently advanced to 27th in 2024, 22nd in 2025 and now 17th in 2026. This represents an overall 27-place climb in four years, alongside a brand strength measurement of 58.0%, reflecting a 5% year-on-year increase.

Beyond the numbers, Rite Foods’ achievement speaks to the growing influence of indigenous businesses in shaping Nigeria’s consumer landscape. Significantly, the 2026 ranking features 27 Nigerian brands among the top 50, compared with 23 multinational brands, highlighting the increasing competitiveness and recognition of homegrown enterprises. Rite Foods also secured fourth position in the Brand Nigeria Mentality category, ranking behind Dangote, MTN and OPay.

For the Nigerian-owned food and beverage manufacturer, this progress stems from a clear commitment to delivering high-quality products, leveraging technological advancements, and developing brands that reflect the evolving preferences and lifestyles of Nigerian consumers.

This commitment is evident in its growing portfolio of consumer brands, which includes LIDA Malt Classic, the recently introduced malt beverage; Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, available in 13 variants; Bigi Table Water; Fearless Energy Drink; Sosa Fruit Drink; Rite Spicy; and Bigi and Bigi Flex Sausage Rolls. Through this diverse portfolio, the company continues to cater to different consumer segments and everyday consumption occasions, strengthening its presence across Nigeria’s food and beverage market.

At a time when local manufacturers contend with significant operating and economic challenges, Rite Foods’ continued growth also highlights the important role of indigenous manufacturing in driving economic development. Its investments in production facilities, technology, distribution infrastructure and local expertise have supported business expansion while creating value across an extensive network of employees, suppliers, distributors and retailers.

Speaking on the achievement, Rite Foods Limited Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr Seleem Adegunwa attributed the company’s steady rise to its firm focus on quality, technological advancement, and the development of a product portfolio that can compete favourably on the global stage.

He noted that the recognition reflected the collective commitment of the company’s employees, the continued confidence and loyalty of its consumers and partners, and the resilient Nigerian spirit that inspires the organisation to raise the bar continually.

Adegunwa further reaffirmed that Rite Foods’ vision remains firmly anchored on quality, innovation and community impact, principles that continue to guide its ambition to build a resilient, globally competitive Nigerian enterprise.

The 2026 Top 50 Brands Nigeria Ranking was unveiled at the Brand Nigeria Leadership Forum in Lagos. The ranking evaluates brands using indicators such as consumer recall, sentiment, engagement and other measures of brand strength, providing insights into their visibility, relevance and standing among Nigerians.

For Rite Foods, breaking into the Top 20 represents far more than an improvement in its ranking. It reflects the confidence it has built, the relevance of its brands, and the consistency of its commitment to delivering value to consumers.

As the company continues to expand its footprint and strengthen its portfolio, this latest recognition reinforces its ambition to build brands that resonate with consumers, compete beyond national boundaries and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic and industrial growth.
