Two suspected robbers invaded a church at night, used some tools to vandalise a Toyota Corolla car parked inside it and escaped in Lagos.
The incident happened at Faith Assembly Church located at 46 Fatai Irawo Street, Ajao Estate, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the suspects climbed into the church premises, used their tools, vandalised the car and escaped.
It was learnt that while they were escaping, the security men accosted them, searched the bag they were carrying and discovered the parts they had removed from the car.
The car the suspects were said to have vandalised was a Toyota Corolla with registration number, GGE 916DL.
During interrogation, they were unable to explain satisfactorily where they got the items and they were handed over to the police at Ajao Estate Division. It was at the police station that they revealed how they gained entrance into the church and stole the items.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects were charged before Isolo Magistrates court for conspiracy and stealing.
They pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Adedayo granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 14 February, 2018.
