An 18-year old young sales girl, Ester Oduma has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly stealing her boss’ N600,000 and sharing it to her two lovers.
The incident happened at Kola area of Ijaiye in the outskirts of Lagos where her boss, Uroko Collins engaged her as sales girl unknown to him that she was set as a trap to steal his money.
She was charged before Ogba Magistrates court and was remanded in prison custody, while her two lovers, Arize Eze and Jonah Ede were said to be at large.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the two lovers encouraged the suspect to go and work as a sales girl for the victim in order to steal his money. She agreed,went and applied as sales lady and was employed for an undisclosed work and salary but unknown to the victim she had another motive for the job.
It was gathered that few weeks after she was employed, the money got missing and she was solely in charge of money in the office but she denied.
The matter was reported to the police at Ojokoro police division and she was arrested and detained at the station.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that at the Station, she admitted and mentioned her two lovers who she said encouraged her to do the job, steal her boss’ money and give to them.
She said she stole the money and shared it to both of them before her boss knew the money was missing and arrested her.
She was charged to court for conspiracy and stealing under the Criminal Code.
She pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr O.T. Shomade granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter has been adjourned till 9 August 2017.
