Senator Adeola Mourns Passing Of Osi Of Egbaland’s Mother, Alhaja Amdalat Mustapha

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Distinguished lawmaker representing Ogun West and APC governorship candidate in Ogun State, has expressed sadness over the death of Alhaja Amdalat Adunola Mustapha, mother of the Osi of Egbaland, High Chief Bode Mustapha.

 

Alhaja Mustapha passed away on Friday, September 12, 2026 at the age of 97. She was buried the same day according to Islamic rites.

 

In a condolence message to the Mustapha family, Senator Adeola said the death of the nonagenarian is a loss not only to her immediate family but to Egbaland, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.

The senator described the deceased as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a respected community leader.

“In her lifetime, Alhaja was a principled, dependable and resourceful woman. Her pious life and hardworking nature served as a model for many women over the decades of her adult and aged life,” Senator Adeola stated.

He noted that Alhaja Mustapha’s contributions to societal development, Islamic proselytization and philanthropic causes would remain evergreen.

“The death of Alhaja Mustapha is a great loss to my elder statesman and ardent supporter, High Chief Bode Mustapha, and the entire family at this time. I sincerely commiserate with the family on this irreparable loss,” he said.

Senator Adeola prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Alhaja Mustapha Al-Jannatul Firdaus, forgive her shortcomings, and accept her good deeds.

He also prayed for strength and fortitude for High Chief Mustapha and the entire family to bear the loss.

The 8th Day Fidau prayer for the repose of her soul has been scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Alhaja Amdalat Mustapha is remembered in Egbaland for her dedication to family values, community welfare and the propagation of Islam.
