Adamu said that the police were determined to flush out criminal elements including the herdsmen who want to cause crises in the zone in order to protect lives and property.

While parading the suspects, AIG Adamu said that Operation Puff Adder, which was recently launched by both Lagos and Ogun State Commands, was aimed at fighting violent crimes including the menace of herdsmen/farmers crises, kidnapping, armed robbers, cultism, banditry, land grabbing, rape and among others.

He stated that the briefing on the achievements will be monthly and the police were ready for the tasks ahead in the protection of lives and property as they have embarked on training and retraining of officers for the tasks.

“In order to achieve all these, we organized local training and retraining of our personnel on required operational skills and knowledge”

He warned the officers on abuse and corruption saying the Zone has set up Monitoring and X-Squad units to ensure that the officers in patrol or essential duties work in conformity with the IGP’s directive.
