Soludo: The Birth Of A Neo-Zikist…

When you drive into the Anambra State capital city Awka, the first flyover bridge you meet conveys a message which must be understood for what it is.

A leadership rooted in ideology rarely becomes rudderless, because it discovers a pathway and follows it through with singleness of purpose. The coordinates of Soludo’s leadership philosophy is hinged upon neo-Zikist ideologies. Zikism is clearly founded on progressives, diplomacy and pan-Africanist orientation.

The Great Zik of Africa envisaged a “United State of Africa”, hoping to levarge her diversity for Social and Economic prosperity for the African people and Blacks all over the world.

For Neo-Zikists like Soludo, there is a slight bent in scope drawn from Zik’s latter day politics of “One Nigeria”. A strong union of the largest black Nation on earth where all can achieve their individual potential regardless of tribe, tongue or creed. Soludo has not shied away from this deep convictions of his in and out of government.

It is for this reason he believes, like Zik, that Ndi Igbo must strive to join forces with progressives beyond the Niger to negotiate for and seize power. Some current crop of the Igbo political class do not believe in this for selfish reasons, and their efforts have continued to plunge ndi Igbo into self defeatism. There are typical constructs that follow this political narrative that needs to be off the table if we must launch back to winning ways where the Great Zik of Africa left for us.

The signs are glaring and in no time ndi Igbo will abandon the “nzogbu nzogbu” politics and become the BEAUTIFUL BRIDE again.
