Ahead of the new football season, the Senior Special Assistant on Sports to Lagos State Governor, Hon. Damilare Orimoloye, on Thursday, paid a visit to newly promoted NPFL side Ikorodu City, at their training ground in Surulere, Lagos.
Hon. Orimoloye, who is also a board member of Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), described his visit to the team as a privilege, adding that he is deeply committed to fostering the growth and development of sports in Lagos State.
In a gesture of support, the youthful sports administrator, presented the team with a cash gift and training balls.
According to him, these contributions are aimed at enhancing their training experience and encouraging their pursuit of excellence.
“We shall continue to support our local teams, even as we continue to nurture talents and build a robust sports culture in Lagos State. Together, we can drive positive change and inspire our athletes to achieve their full potential,” he added.
He assured the players and management of Ikorodu City and other teams, of continued supports, to ensure they have a successful new season.
