Tandoh Commissions Renovated Elegbata Sports Centre

One of the sports facilities under the supervision of Lagos State Sports Commission, the Elegbata Sports Complex renovated by Axxela Limited was commissioned on Wednesday.

Speaking at the commissioning, Chief Operating Officer of Axxela, Rasheed Olaoluwa , said the company is committed to the growth of Lagos State’s socio-economic landscape.

The Lead Consultant, Pecksgrey Group Sports Infrastructure Development Company, Remi Olukoya disclosed that as contractor to the project, “we are happy to deliverejon time a First Class Mini Sports Complex that can stand test of time.

According to him, the synthetic turf and other materials used in the construction of the newly renovated sports complex is of high quality.

He commended Governor Ambode for providing an enabling environment for private sector participation in the provision of sport facilities and for enable the project to become a reality.

He therefore urged theu incoming administration to make provision for the replica of the sports complex in all the Local Government in Lagos State .

The Executive Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, who represented the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, commended Axxela for the initiative of renovating the sports complex for the benefits of the community of Elegbata and its environs.

He said: “I would like to thank Axxela for developing this sports facility, which indicates its firm commitment to the welfare of its host communities.
