A 28-year old teacher, Idowu Daniel, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he allegedly took his 17-year old female student to their school’s Biology laboratory and penetrated her.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the school known as Anatasia Comprehensive College located at Abule Egba area of Lagos.
It was gathered that the teacher, Daniel, took the victim into the laboratory, where he was supposed to teach her Biology, but the whole thing turned into a sex romp. Eventually, the teacher was caught while penetrating the victim’s private part. He was thereafter handed over to the Police at Isokoko Division for interrogation.
During interrogation, the victim said that she was lured into the laboratory by the teacher under the pretense of trying to tutor her on some practical. She said that the teacher had forcefully removed her pant and penetrated her before he was caught.
After investigation, the Police found the teacher, Daniel, culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP since the alleged crime was a capital offence.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, ordered that the defendant to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while the matter was adjourned till 21st October, 2019.
