The Sinner Of Saint

It is unpleasant to see criminals perpetrate crimes, but very frustrating and disheartening to see protectors of the law use public offices to protect and commit crimes. There is no way we can separate the heinous crime presently making the round in our society from the corrupt system adopted and stylishly constitutionally legalised by the ruling elites.

Nigeria has become a jungle, where justice is far fetched and where lions feed on antelopes at will. What a jumbled confusion! The system is so bad that even the Nigerian Jesuses are behind the proliferation and the sustainability of crimes. Sorrow! No more holy Kyaris!! Many of the Super cops are super thieves in disguise.

Those we run to for safety have been unmasked to be part of the reasons we are running for safety in the first place.

In a corrupt leadership system, the king finds it difficult to severely punish the corrupt subjects under his command especially when the said subjects bear same surname (either religiously, tribal or political party affiliation) with either him or one of those who made him king.
Please note this: Democracy in Africa has, and will never do any good to Africans for democracy is programmed to honour the will of the majority.

No truth can be ‘truer’ than the truth! A society that houses majority of ignorant people will continue to elect or select wrong and corrupt individuals to manage their public purses. Good decision is never a product of numbers but of knowledge. As far as the majority lacks the knowledge to make good decisions, failure will remain the reward of such society in a democratic setting.

Democracy is flourishing in Western nations because of the Majority, who are literate individuals resident there. The affairs of the public are peddled by the decision of the majority of the informed populace. Democracy is a mantle of success and a winning force to a well informed society, but a curse and a dark tunnel of retrogression to a society with majority of illiterates. It is birthed by Western nations and carved in pari pasu with the nature of human beings resident there.

Africa must midwife or adopt a system of government established through knowledge for the well being of Africans.

Democracy makes us easier preys in the hands of foreign oppressors as they keep taking advantage of the gross ignorant residents in our midst to keep us poor by tearing us apart.

Nepotism and tribalism have suffocated our justice system and confined it to the edifice of sickbay, where justice can be sold to the unjust if he bids the highest. No justice for the poor and the know nobodies! Virtually, every public servant has become tyrant on the public seat, seeking bribe before attending to anyone who comes to his or her office. Corruption in Nigeria could be correlated with a football game where spectators chant, bottoms up and celebrate the players, especially those who through subterfuge dribble opponents and score goals. The survival of the ‘thiefest’. The land of majority odds where infinitesimal evens are ignorantly tagged the odds. The city of sin where Mr. Truth suffers boredom as he is never accepted a friend in the high society. ‘Agony and pain’ asserts The Young Elder.

We have traveled so far in the wrong direction. It is never too late to rewrite our wrongs! If we could turn back, unite, restructure our country with Regional, State and Local Government Police structures as well as having autonomous regional governance system in place, as we educate Nigerians to sail together in the boat of equality on the waters of brotherhood, the long awaited greatness of our dear country will gloriously emerge and make Nigerians golden ornaments before external community and never to fail again in this world of competition.

High Chief Amb. Ezewele Cyril Abionanojie.
