It was a sad end for three suspected armed robbers as they were crushed to death by a motorist they attempted to rob.
The incident happened in the evening at Igando area along LASU/Iyana Iba Expressway, Lagos on Monday.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that unknown number of the gang of armed robbers moved to the expressway to stop vehicles and rob them.
However, the driver of the first vehicle they stopped maneuvered, hit the victims and escaped.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that three of the robbers died instantly, one was severally injured and taken to a hospital while others sustained different degree of injuries.
Some of the residents said that the victims were secret cult members who needed money and decided to block the road to extort money from motorists.
Some wondered what would have made the robbers to make such fatal mistake by going to block the road, bearing in mind that the road was a very busy expressway where vehicles moved on top speed.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that their corpses have been recovered by the police and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report while the injured one was admitted in an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
When our reporter visited Igando Police Division to meet the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, for comment, he was said to have gone to the State Command in Ikeja.
