A 37-year-old man, Francis Okozie has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly defiling his 14-year-old step daughter and impregnated her.
The incident happened at Pipeline road in Baruwa estate in Ipaja area of Lagos State where they reside.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that after the victim was reportedly impregnated, she was taken to a female fake nurse, Ester Udoh at Abeokuta street in Egbeda who administered drugs that terminated the pregnancy and harmed her in the process.
It was gathered the young girl had to raise an alarm in the compound when the pain of bleeding caused by the drugs was too much to bear.
Her alarm attracted the attention of the neighbours who heard her and contacted the Police.
The police at Idimu command first arrested Okezie who reportedly admitted that he slept with her severally and mentioned Udoh who gave her the drugs.
Udoh was also arrested and brought to the station where she reportedly confessed that she gave her the drugs that terminated her pregnancy.
They have been since charged before Ogba Magistrates court with unlawful defilement and administering dangerous under the Criminal Code.
They pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr Davis Abegunde granted them bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 8 September 2017.
