TRIBUTE: A Life Well Spent By Superior Evangelist Adesanlu

The late Superior Evangelist Festus Adesanlu

Superior Evangelist Festus Adesanlu was born November 15,1940 to the family of Pa Akinjisola Adesanlu (aka Baba Ofin) and Madam Rebekah Folayemi Adesanlu. He was Ayanyemi and later got baptized as Festus at Saint Matthew Catholic Church Oke Padi in Ondo town in Ondo State, southwest Nigeria.

He had his primary school education at Igbindo Primary School and later came to Saint John Catholic Primary School, Oriokuta Oke Odunwo Street, Ondo, where he completed his elementary school before moving to St, James Modern School, Lipakala, popularly known as Odosida Aogo in those days. He went to Aquinas Catholic College, Akure where he completed and obtained his School Certificate and moved to Lagos in 1971.

He got a juicy offer at Agip Nigeria Limited as a Store Keeper, where he upgraded himself academically in Stores courses at the Institute of Purchasing and Supply (affiliate to London). He studied courses in Stores Keeping and Stores Supervision in 1977. He also underwent some computer courses to better his lots while at Agip.

At Agip Nigeria Limited, he rose to the level of Senior Stores Keeper until his retirement in 1998.

He got married to his only wife, late Madam Florence Oluwafunmibi Adesanlu (Nee Oladejo) in 1976 in Ondo town, and the marriage was blessed with children.

He bagged the following certificates as a Clergy at Dunamis Christian University (affiliation with the USA), Diploma certificate course in Theology, Bachelor degree in Theology, Masters degree in Theology and Doctorate degree in Theology.

Dr Festus Akinjisola Adesanlu attained the height of Superior Evangelist in the Celestial Church of Christ and served as Secretary of the Celestial Circuit of Alagbole Region, Ifo Local Government of Ogun State, southwest Nigeria before his demise on September 22, 2021.

After his retirement from Agip, he became a Clergy in Celestial Church of Christ where he served at CCC GRA Parish, Ojota Ogudu, Lagos before he became a landlord and Shepherd of Celestial Church of Christ, Irawo Owuro Parish at Adekoya Street, Alagbole, Ogun State/

He is survived by children, grandchildren, siblings and relatives. Daddy lived a worthy example for Jesus Christ. He was loved by all.
