APGA BROTHERS
ODAA OPUO
Several months ago when the evil one sowed the seed of discord into APGA leadership, I clearly analysed the issue very critically and came out with a conclusion that the issue won’t stand the test of time. Many political pundits discharged and classified my analysis as a mere expression of my private opinion. I simply told them to wait and see the end.
However, every political party has set rules and guidelines controlling their activities, events and even their problems. One of such set rules is that the NEC would ratify some decisions taken by the NWC. These rules would come into play when such related issues come forth. But in Nigerian politics, nobody accepts defeat until courts throw out and bury their frivolous legal jargons.
The twisting thing that happened in APGA’s case is that the man that were used to cause the troubles suddenly died. The gang quickly brought out Chief Martin Agbaso who as at that time a card carrying member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with an order to divide the party either for the governor of Anambra state to roll out billions of naira to them, distract or loose the November 2017 election. The party having superior argument and being at the right side of the law decided not to he perturbed while pursuing their case in the court of law.
Moreover, there were healthy signs that depicted where the political pendulum swings to but they refused to heed to the signs. When Agbaso procured a kangaroo court mandamus against the Chairman, they thought that it would be business as usual where Enugu High Courts used to inflict pandemonium on Anambra political environments. The rest is history.
Agbaso and his cohorts still proceeded to the Supreme court with a hope of getting unmerited judgement or palace coup de etat against APGA, they were again beaten to stupor for judicial rascality. I believe this will settle this problems permanently.
Besides, it is worthy to note not who wins is the matter but our collective heritage is being affected. Our common inheritance is being balkanised. The political party that is the only thing that projects our Igbo spirit is being ridiculed by some political hawks. We continue fighting for nothing whole aliens continue to feed fat on our inheritance.
What is the fate of Chief Hygers who called himself THE GOVERNOR-IN-WAITING? What of Dr Elo Aforka who also abandoned his only source of livelihood to join the shenanigans and named himself DEPUTY GOVERNOR-IN-WAITING? What of Ise na Ise who had already pocked his state working committee members? All of them are now turned to gra gra and vanities. But is that the best? APGA needs us all. Let us rebuild our party of tomorrow. Nke a bu nke anyi.
The intention of our forefathers were not to drag and scatter our common destiny but to unite and decided our fate positively. In Nigerian politics today, we have discovered that it is better to negotiate our common political destiny as a region not as an individual. It worked in South West. Why can’t it work for us with APGA as a gang plank. WE MUST COME HOME. OUR REGION IS NOT GOOD FOR PYTHON DANCE (EGWU EKE) ONLY. We should negotiate our ways back to the centre by using APGA as a launch pad. This is our party with our identity.
Congratulations to a senior AHOBITE Ozonkpu Victor Oye!
NKE A BU NKE ANYI!
