A media outfit known as Voice Out Nigerian News, VONN, has concluded plans to organise International Merit Award lecture on the role of leadership in Nigeria coming up on 7th November, 2020.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that this  year’s annual summit will focus on leadership based on the current civil unrest in Nigeria and the way forward through a Zoom lecture, which will commence by 12 noon Nigerian time.

The lecture will be featuring one of the guests, Ambassador Steve Nwosu, who is one of the advisory board members of VONN and other guests who will be speaking in other related topics bearing in mind the unrest of the past few weeks in Nigeria.

Speaking on the summit, Ambassador Nwosu said that the civil unrest was one of the reasons the management was having the seminar, although the idea was conceived before the crisis.

“At least it coincides with the reasons for the programme to address the situation in the country and that is why VONN will be elaborating on the roles of a leaders in the society using Nigeria as case study” he said.
Nwosu said: “Nigerians should start with us the patriotic citizens; we should show our importance and active participation on economic matters and should be patriotic. If given the opportunity, I would love to take an office or become an administrator”.

He said that the first port of call to curtail is corruption. He also sighted examples of the best surgeon as a Nigerian; if we had utilized this useful potential, we will be at an advantage but the US Government has already grabbed this great talent and is utilizing the opportunity well enough.

“My advice to Nigerians is to find a way to be part of the program. This program will unveil what Nigeria should look like. How do we attain leadership if we do not learn from others? We need to talk about leadership in your community and the nation” he said.

Those billed to speak at the event include: CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, Dr. Cecilia Okachi and Dr Kunle Tometi {RPH Pharma}, Amb. Steve Nwosu and others.

Amb. Steve Nwosu will be talking about “The Essence Of Taking Responsibility As Patriotic Citizens”.Then Kunle Tometi will be talking about “The Importance Of Transparency In Governance” while CSP Olabisi Okuwobi will be speaking on “Security In A Democracy -A must.
