We Shall Give Autonomy To Local Government Councils – Says Hon. Dennis Idahosa

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the APC in the forthcoming 2024 Edo Governorship Election, Hon..Dennis Idahosa has assured the people of Edo State that the APC State Government under the watch of Senator Monday Okpebholo will give full autonomy to the Local Government Councils in Edo State if voted into power at the September 21 Governorship Election.

Hon. Dennis Idahosa made this promise while speaking to APC members in Ward 6 and Ward 5, Egor Local Government Area, as he joined the Local Government leaders of the party in their governorship campaign mobilization visits.

The Honourable Member representing Ovia Federal Constituency, and APC Deputy Governorship Candidate deplored the use of local government council funds for Governorship Campaign and other purposes by the PDP led Edo State Government. Hon. Idahosa said that this situation denies the councils the ability to meet their obligations to the people. He promised that the APC Government will reverse the negative trend.

Furthermore, Hon. Dennis Idahosa promised that the APC government shall establish one functional health centre in every ward of the State. Also, on access to healthcare, he promised that they will Institute a universal health insurance in order to cure the unfortunate incident of the inability of low income earners to pay for medical services during medical emergencies.

Hon. Dennis Idahosa also promised the people that they will harness the gas potential of the State to provide stable and affordable electricity, unlike the kind being promoted by the PDP, which is only for the rich.

Finally, the APC Governorship Running Mate promised the creation of jobs through partnership with foreign investors and creating the enabling environment for investment.

Among the leaders on the tour of the wards were, Barr. Gentleman Amegor, Hon. Osaro Eribo, LGA Vice Chairman, Mr. Joshua Uwagboe, LGA Secretary, Princess Bola Eweka, LGA Women Leader, Hon. Nosa Adams, Hon. Pius Alile, and Mr. Osahon Airunmwunde, Meanwhile, Egor APC leaders continue the ongoing wards tour with visits to Ward 7 and Ward 9 on Thursday 20th June.
