What Happened To OBIdient Eloswag Of BBNAIJA?

I heard that the popular Nigerian reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, was concluded yesterday with a certain Phyna emerging as the winner of the show.

I was terrified about how Phyna was able to defeat the Obidents and emerge as the winner of the show. Does it mean that what Reno Omokri said about Obidents being just bots and their noise across social media does not translate to a real support base is true?

I got to know about this year’s BBNaija through the social media, with Peter Obi supporters disturbing our peace with tales of a certain housemate, Eloswag, who came into the house and displayed support for Peter Obi with his display of the OBIdients trademark “Be Obidient and Yusful” behind his T-shirt.

Supposedly, the young man acted to benefit from the media support base of Peter Obi as a strategy, and it got the attention of the Obidents, who vowed to mobilize millions of votes for his victory.

The reality show, which lasted for just four (4) months, became a topic for these OBIdients as they declared to use Eloswag to inform Nigerians on what is to happen in the 2023 general elections.

When the show came to an end, I asked why didn’t the millions of votes from the Obidents make Eloswag the winner, as they bragged so much about their numbers and willpower; no one of the online vuvuzelas of the ObidiEND could give clarity.

I learnt further that their votes weren’t enough to keep Eloswag in the house beyond the first two weeks of the show. Obviously, he was among the early evictees.

With the noise and sustained grandstanding of the Obidents, the misfortune of Eloswag may be little compared to what will happen to Peter Obi in 2023.

Since the OBIdient youths, who vowed to ensure that their votes would crown Eloswag the winner of ordinary BBNAIJA could not sustain him to the finals, how then will they help Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti get 25% spreads in 24 states of the Federation?

The Eloswag’s poor outing at the BBNAIJA is a clear indication that the OBIdients are just social media noisemakers with no capital.

Peter Obi will eventually labour in vain, just like the first victim of OBIdients, Eloswag.
