A 42-year old jilted woman, Mrs. Rose Nnaji has been found dead inside her self-contain room apartment in Ikotun area of Lagos State Nigeria. The incident happened on Friday night at Bayo Atoyemi Street, off Custom Bus stop in Abaranje, Ikotun, after the deceased was suspected to have drank a substance suspected to be poison that eventually claimed her life. P.M. EXPRESS gathered that her corpse was discovered at about 11.00 pm by neighbours who informed the police at Ikotun division. Her remains was evacuated by the police the following day and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report. The late Rose Nnaji hailed from Imo State and worked as a licencing officer in Apapa before she died. The deceased was married and had three children before she separated from her estranged husband. She lived alone without her children. Some residents told our correspondent that late Rose was always avoiding people and preferred to be on her own and sometimes complaining of frustration. Due to this, one of the residents said, she became deeply involved in church activities to find a solution to her problem but to non avail. This the neighbours suspected might have led her into taken some actions that could have eventually claimed her life. P.M.EXPRESS learnt that on the day the incident happened, Rose reportedly came back from work and took some substance and laid on her bed. She left her door open which made it possible for neighbours to enter her room during the heavy rain to inform her to close her door and window because of storm. It was then that they discovered her lifeless body. Some of her neighbours expressed shock over her death and described her as a peaceful woman who was dedicated to all activities she engaged in before she died.
When our correspondent visited Ikotun police division, police source confirmed the incident and said they will not conclude what killed her until the autopsy report is ready.
