A 72-year-old woman, Philomena Ordu, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for pushing a pregnant woman, Mrs. Faith Williams, as she hit her stomach on a table and lost her 5-month pregnancy during a public brawl.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Adejuwo Street, Agbokoloko area of Lagos, where they reside.

The 72-year old woman has been arrested and charged for the alleged assault by pushing the pregnant victim, which caused her losing her pregnancy.

According to the Police, the woman and the pregnant victim had a disagreement over an undisclosed matter, which led to exchange of words. In the process, the woman pushed the victim, she hit her stomach on a table and started bleeding.

She was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where the Doctor battled to save the pregnancy to no avail as she eventually lost the baby.

However, she pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
