Having noticed some deficiencies in the attack of the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their last two international friendly games against Poland and Serbia , Edema Fuludu, has opined that Aaron and Junior Ajayi can compliment Odion Jude Ighalo in the attack of the team. PM EXPRESS reports.

Fuludu, a member of the Super Eagles team that conquered too teams in Africa by winning the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia firmly affirmed that there is a need to inject attackers who have  natural predatory instincts in front of goal to help the attack of the Super Eagles led by Odion Jude Ighalo.

” There is no doubt that there were deficiencies noticed in the attack of the Super Eagles team against Poland and Serbia and I feel that we need attackers that can make the attack of the Super Eagles sharper and more deadly. Aaron Samuel and Junior Ajayi are doing well presently at their clubs. I think that they should be strongly considered because they are natural top 9 in any team.” Fuludu said.

” When you watch them play, you will observed that Aaron and Ajayi are very forceful and troublesome against the defence of the opponents. In the absence of Ighalo or to compliment him. Gernot Rohr should consider Aaron Samuel  and Junior Ajayi.

“Except Rohr has other plans , but for the betterment of the team especially to make the attack of the Super Eagles to be more potent , then I think that Aaron and Ajayi should be considered as a back up to Ighalo ahead of the world cup in Russia,” he said.

Samuel has scored three goals since he moved to FC Amcar on loan from CSKA Moscow  during the January transfer window. He also also scored two goals in seven appearances for the Super Eagles.

Ajayi on the other hand has nine goals and five assists to his credit at Al Ahly of Egypt this season and he was voted in the African team of the year .

He got his first cap for the Super Eagles in the friendly game against Serbia that Nigeria lost 2-0, but he was an integral part of the Olympic Eagles that won bronze medal at the football event at 2016 Rio Olympics.
