MAZI EJIMOFOR OPARA
It is difficult to brand Soludo negatively. You may question his audacity or differ with his opinions. But you cannot question or doubt his capacity to execute with precision, or his resolve in declaring his stand on critical issues.
Again, for a man who is investing in the present and future of Anambra’s human and infrastructural capital, you cannot brand him negatively through sponsored Facebook posts and childish political tantrums.
At least, not to that woman who was evacuated for free from the once chaotic streets of Ekwulobia to a decent trading space at the Solution Market. Not to the women at Coke Market whose trading spaces have been redefined by free-flowing pipe-borne water never before made available to them. Not to that mother in Mmiata Anam who no longer bothers about the cost of antenatal and delivery. Or to the father who is now home and relaxed, not wondering how to pay the school fees of his children.
Certainly not to that young man in Okpoko who has been trained and empowered under Soludo’s One Youth Two Skills program. I doubt if the people of Awba-Ofemili would care to read or listen to your torrents of politically influenced activism. Nzam would certainly stone you should you attempt Soludo-badmouthing anywhere around them. Not even Enugu-Otu Aguleri would tolerate your Soludo slander.
I believe the 8,151 graduate teachers are human testaments to Soludo’s legacy — merit and competence over mediocrity. The new kids pivoting a tech-driven economy at the Solution Innovation District are future elements of Soludo’s smart megacity, and will be here to tell the story of how the vision of one man transformed their life’s trajectory.
Soludo is not only building for the now; he is vigorously solidifying the foundations of a liveable and prosperous Anambra State. The wannabe, rudderless attention seeker knows for sure that Soludo’s place in history is, and will never be, in doubt. Soludo is not given to the popular; he focuses on the expedient. The good thing is, Ndi Anambra have come to trust him, just as Nigerians celebrate him for thinking and doing the impossible!
