The U-15 Team Lagos Handball Male Team and Football Female Team started the ongoing South West Zonal Elimination in Ibadan with resounding victories.
On day One , Team Lagos Handball Boys walloped Team Ondo 28 -20 in an entertaining match played at the Handball Court of the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort Ibadan Oyo State, while Lagos Handball Girls defeated Team Ogun 17 -16 in a very tight game.
Lagos U-15 Football Team outshined Team Oyo with convincing win of 5-1, while the Male Team walloped Team Ekiti 5-2.
Lagos Volleyball Boys defeated Team Ekiti with 2-0. The Male Hockey Team beat Team Ekiti by 2-0.
Meanwhile, Lagos Hockey Female Team in their first game played a 1-1 draw with Team Ondo, while the male team another 3-3 draw match against Team Osun.
Lagos Rugby Male and Female Teams have qualified for the tournament holding in Ilorin, Kwara State next through walkovers.

EXPRESS reports that Team Lagos are competing for eight team sports which translate to 16 slots for the qualifications to represent the South West Zone at the 6th National Youths Games coming up in Ilorin Kwara State from 10th-20th October in the following Sports: Basketball (Male and Female), Football (Male and Female), Handball (Male and Female), Volleyball and Beach Volleyball (Male and Female), Rugby (Male and Female), Hockey (Male and Female) and Cricket (Male and Female).
