Four deadly armed robbers operating within the Lagos and Ogun State axis have finally met their dead end following a failed operation in a popular hotel in Egbeda area of Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the gang met their waterloo after they invaded a popular hotel called ‘One Love’ in the day time to rob customers and the management.

However, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, SP Fayomi Solomon got wind of their operation, mobilised his men to the scene and repelled them. It was gathered that there was exchange of gun fire between the police and the robbers, but the robbers submitted to the high fire power of the police and two of the suspects were captured alive and one died due to injury sustained.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the police recovered guns, a stolen vehicle and kept as exhibits at the Police Division.

When our correspondent visited the Idimu Police Division, the DPO was not around for comment, but a police source confirmed the incident.

The source also told our correspondent that one of the suspects died, his corpse had been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report while the remaining suspect has been transferred to State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS for further interrogation.

When our correspondent visited SARS. Office at Ikeja Police Command, the suspect identified as Opasa was seen detained at the police cell where he was undergoing interrogations. It was gathered that the revelation of Opasa has led to the arrest of the other two suspects.
