2 Men Arraigned For Stealing N65m Worth Of Human Hair Loaded Inside Company’s Truck

Two men, Obinna Christian Bright, 32 and Titus Tersugh, 25, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly stealing human hair products worth N65m loaded inside a truck belonging to different customers on transit to destination.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Blessed Friyo Motors Expresss located at Jibowu area Lagos, where the goods were loaded enroute to Abuja.

 

According to the Police, the suspects and others now at large had on 25th January, 2025, while the goods were on transit, stolen the items from the truck but they were later caught and handed over to the Police at Area F Command for prosecution over their alleged conduct.

 

After interrogation, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

COUNT I: “That you, Obinna Christian Bright and Titus Tersugh and others now at large on the 29th day of January, 2025 on transit in the Ikeja Magesterial District, Lagos, did unlawfully conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing from the truck with registration number: SHK358FH loaded with different types of goods from Blessed Friyo Motors Expresss, Jibowu Lagos to Abuja, which 2 bags of Human Hair were among and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

COUNT II: “That you, Obinna Christian Bright and Titus Tersugh and others now at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal one bag of Human Hair, properties of different customers of Gabriel and Dessy Logistics Services, Oshodi, Lagos, valued the sum of N65,000,000 (Sixty Five Million Naira Only) and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 287 (B) of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

However, they pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
