A lady, Mary Linda, had a nasty experience in Lagos State after two siblings, Samuel Fadi and Bashir Fadi, allegedly invaded her home and drank all the assorted expensive wines, which she kept in the house worth N6.5m and escaped.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Olatoye Street, Ajiwe area of Ajah, Lagos, where Linda resides.
Their conduct was reported to the Police and they were arrested for conspiracy.
The Police however, did not state the relationship between Linda and the two siblings, who are now in custody over their conduct at Linda’s house.
They were said to have entered her house, went where she kept those drinks and finished them without knowing the cost of the drinks. During interrogation, they were said to have told the Police that they did not know the worth or value of the drinks in question.
Trouble was said to have started when Linda later went where she kept the drinks and did not find them any. She asked them what happened to her drinks and they told her that they actually gulped the whole drinks to avoid wasting because she was not around.
They were subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence and they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Kenrich Nomayo, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate,  Mrs. O. O. Fajana, granted them bail and they were remanded in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 25th October, 2022, for mention.
