3 Sisters Nabbed Over Child Abuse

Three women of the same parents who seemed to be in serious competition over pregnancy and children have landed in trouble after the residents alerted the police over their negligence in Lagos.

The women are Comfort Anwana, 25, Gift Anwana, 28 and Blessing Anwana, 20 who resided at Fadu Avenue in Ejigbo, Lagos with the children.

The Commissioner of the Police, CP Imohimi Edgal has ordered the arrest of three women for negligence and rescued about eight children they left to roam about the streets without care.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the Police Boss received information about child abuse by the suspects and subsequently directed the Gender section of the police to intervene and rescue the kids between the ages of 2 and 6 Years.

The kid were rescued and taken to Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, along with  the suspects.

The suspects were charged before Ogba Magistrates court for negligence and failing to provide the necessary needs such as food, shelter, clothes among others.

They pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. F.O. Abegunde Davis granted them bail in the sum of N30,000 with one surety in like sum.
They were remanded in prison pending when they will perfect their bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 31 January, 2018.
