4th Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge Starts In Lagos June 11

The 4th edition of the Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge will hold in Obele Odan, Surulere Lagos on 11th and 12th June 2024, at the Obele Odan Community Centre, Fujah.

The two-day soccer competition for senior players in Surulere is on to commemorate the birthday of the former African Footballer of the Year, Victor Ikpeba who will be present at the competition venue to watch all the games.

A total of eight teams will battle for supremacy. These teams include Domino FC Academy of Lagos.

The preliminaries will start on June 11 at the Obele Odan Community Centre Football ground.

The draws for the competition will hold on Saturday, June 8 with all the team captains present to pick the draws.

The finals have been slated for June 12 in commemoration of the birthday celebration of the Atlanta 96 Olympic gold medalist and 1997 African Footballer of the Year.

The final day would also witness the third-place finals.

Aside from the prize monies for first to fourth positions, there will be individual awards for Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Most Valuable Player and Highest Goal Scorer.
