5 Organisations Providing ‘Tech’ and ICT Solutions For SMEs In Nigeria

If you are conversant with happenings around the world, you would realize that in the past five years, there has been a shift in technology and how people use it.

Small businesses are shifting and leveraging the use of Information Communication Technology for their businesses, and big organizations now support small businesses with more tech solutions.

Below is a list of five organizations providing ICT solutions for SMEs. 

  1. GOOGLE

As part of the global commitment of Google to the growth and development of SMEs across the world, Google continues to partner with private organisations and the Nigerian government, to provide ICT and business skill training for entrepreneurs across the country.

  1. MTN Foundation

MTN Foundation, under its youth development initiative, organizes an annual ICT and Business skill training program for young entrepreneurs across the country. The training in partnership with some of its ecosystem partners is aimed at equipping and building technology and business skill capacity in young Nigerian entrepreneurs. 

  1. SMEDAN

Small and Medium enterprise development agency of Nigeria commonly known as SMEDAN, organizes e-business and empowerment training for young entrepreneurs across Nigeria. The training is to empower youths to be self-reliant and utilize the use of technology in their businesses. At the end of the training, participants receive laptops and other internet facility gadgets to help them in their businesses.

  1. TECHPOINT AFRICA

Techpoint Africa, through its yearly SME Business clinic, educates entrepreneurs on how to leverage technology for their business, and how to sustain the business with the use of technology. The business clinic also offers an opprtunity for SMEs to pitch their businesses and win cash grants. 

  1. NITDA

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA),  As part of efforts to bridge the digital divide in the country continues to train and empower female entrepreneurs in information and communication technology (ICT) to enable them to become techprenuers.
