5km Walk To Celebrate Asagba Of Asaba 1st Anniversary on 4 October

All is now set for the eagerly anticipated 5km fitness walk, to honour HRM Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, in commemoration of his coronation and first anniversary on the throne, as the 14th Asagba of Asaba.

The 5km fitness walk, a spinoff from the already advertised maiden edition of the Asaba 10km International Road Race, is a Royal Initiative driven by His Majesty, Prof. Epiphany Azinge’s passion, to promote fitness and health, as well as boost Sports, Tourism and Community Development.

This epoch-making event, coincides with the first anniversary coronation of the Asagba of Asaba, thus making it a dual celebration of sports and culture.

Chairman Organizing Committee, Wing Comdr Peter Iweze (Rtd) stated that the 5km fitness walk, which is scheduled for October 4, 2025, will start from Stephen Keshi Stadium at 7am, adding that registration will be free for all those who wish to participate.

Wing Comdr Peter Iweze (Rtd) then invites all to “join the Kingly 5km Walk, with His Royal Majesty, Prof Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, FNIALS, in commemoration of his first anniversary as the 14th Asagba of Asaba.”
