I Can’t Wait To Play In Manchester Cup In Queensland – Says Inyang Edet Temitayo Sunday

“I am self determined with a lot of dreams to accomplish.”
The young vibrant Goalkeeper has been on top of his game making fabulous and fantastic saves, with a daily improvement both in training and in matches.
In an interview conducted yesterday he gave an insight to the evolvement of his career:
Can we meet you?
My name is Edet Temitayo Sunday Inyang a native of Cross River State. I’m a Goal Keeper and a guy with a lot of dreams.
What is your role on the field of play?
I keep and have fun with the ball and win with my teammates.
What do you love most about your position?
Goal Keeping gives me joy because it is what I love doing, it’s my hubby and my life
If you would have to choose a different position where would you play?
I will choose to play from Defensive Midfield because I have the experience and I enjoy it.
When did you join Buruj Sports Academy?
That should be in May 2019.
Why were you not part of the 2019 Squad to the United Kingdom?
It was because I registered late and my parents couldn’t afford the fund. With the experience I have gathered and God on my side I don’t ever want to miss that golden opportunity again.
How would you rate your performance now?
I think I can’t see myself, so I’m not in the position to rate that. I get the reflection from people and I believe I’m better than before and that made me get promoted to the main team in Buruj Football Club and as an assistant Captain.
How do you tell your experience after joining Buruj Sports Academy?
Before I joined I was very young, and there is a philosophy in Goal Keeping which I now understand that you get more widened in the game as you grow old because you get more experience and coming to Buruj Sports Academy I have gained a lot of knowledge both from the Coaches, Chairman and my team mates.
What are the most important things a Goal Keeper must have ?
Ball timing and ability to calculate, firm gripping, good vision, service, good communication.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Everything lies in the hands of God, but I see myself in higher places, I pray to God and I hope my dreams come true.
What do you have to say to your parents?
My parents have contributed a lot in my life that I can’t even start to mention. Some parents don’t consider the interest of their children or neither do they believe in passion or dreams. But for my parents we are four (4) in number and they make sure they give us the best of what we desire, I give kudos to them for that.
I pray God answers my prayer and give me all I desire to be able to take care of them very well.
Being a Goal Keeper what makes you different from your teammates?
On the field of play, I can use hands for gripping but they can’t. More so, I wear a different jersey from theirs
Who is your Role Model?
My role model is Marc-Andre Ter Stegen FC Barcelona Goal Keeper. I chose him because he is complete, he knows how to use both legs and hand and equally he has good vision and good timing.
What are your preparations for the next international tourneys?
I am fully prepared and it has been on my mind ever since. I know God will do it because I have much confidence in it.
What are your limitations on the field of play?
My game is being conditioned despite the fact that I love playing with my teammates because I like dribbling on the pitch but it is risky and people watching have hearts and I don’t want to fail them.
