Lagos State Govt Set To Revamp Expansion Joints On Stadium Flyover

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan, which was scheduled to commence on the night of Friday, 19th November, and will last till Wednesday, 24th December, 2021, to enable the replacement of the expansion joints on Stadium Flyover in Surulere.

A statement earlier signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, said the repair schedule is in phases and that the diversion points for Phase One will be from Alaka to the Stadium Service Lane inbound Barracks in Surulere.

Oladeinde stated that motorists inbound Jibowu from Alaka will be diverted to the Service Lane to access their destinations, adding that traffic guides will be mounted along the affected route to aid navigation the axis during the repair works.

While affirming that the State Traffic Management Authority will be on ground to coordinate movement, the Commissioner appealed to the citizenry for their understanding and patience amidst various ongoing road projects within the State, assuring that the end result will be beneficial to the people and Lagos.
