The Governor and leader of Imo State, our own dear Senator Hope Uzodimma is one man that loves peace and preaches same always.  He is one man who believes in the restoration of sanity in the state. He is one man who believes that being in government is only a privilege that should be abused.  He is that man who believes in live and let live. He is one man who believes that a worker deserves his wages. The Governor is that man who always thinks of what to do to better the state.

Although, there are few persons who, on a daily basis struggle to cast aspersions on him and attempt to smash mud on his stainless cloth with a sole  evil intention to throw dust into the eyes of unsuspecting public against him. But to God be the glory that the more they dissipate their energies trying to dress Governor Uzodimma on a borrowed rope and give him a bad name, the more God Almighty continues to extricate him from their wicked clutches of Pull-him-down orchestration.

I have always believe that Imo state is safer in the hands of Senator Hope Uzodimma. I have also known that no matter the challenges bedeviling the state, it can only get better. I have not, for one day doubted the capacity of Governor Uzodimma to sandfill the economic and socio-political holes in the state. Granted, we are yet to get there but the truth remains that there are signs to show that the future of Imo state is brighter.

Arguably, it is a fact that today, corruption in the management of the state resources has been brought down to its barest level unlike what obtained in the recent past here in Imo.  It is equally an incontrovertible fact that today in Imo State, the blind confiscation of people’s and government lands and properties using government fiat has been wiped out and is now none existent. In fact, by this coming Tuesday, Imo State Government under Senator Uzodimma will give back to some of the persons, who were victims of this unconscionable emasculation and forceful deprivation of their properties by the past government and those in government.

Governor Uzodimma’s plans for the state are to have a state where rule of law will continue to prevail. He has a plan to get all the bad roads especially within Owerri city fixed and also to see that our rural roads receive equally attention. He is working to ensure an all round development for the state. He is working assiduously to sustain the current fiscal discipline we enjoy now. He is making sure that government is not reduced to a mockery level in Imo state.

Yes granted, there are alot of things that need to be done which are yet to be done. Granted also that the Governor is not all knowing as a human being but the fact remains that we now have a Governor who is sincerely committed to serving  the state. We have a Governor who thinks Imo first before personal or other petty considerations. We have a Governor who, though not a Saint but who is a remorseful sinner.

Therefore, it is important Imo people begin to understand that the image the opposition are trying to present Governor Uzodimma is not the real person the Governor is. In fact, the man is far better than those of them who call him names. For instance, he is not as greedy as they were when they were in power. He is not covetous like them. He is not as intolerant to opposing views like them. He is not wicked like them. He is not temperamental like them and he is not loquacious like them. He has also not allowed power to get to his skull like them.  Above all, he is not as vindictive as they were while in power.

So the thought of Governor Uzodimma is a thought for good and not for bad. He has good plans and good wishes for the state. As we can see, some of his good plans are already manifesting while many will soon get under way.

Truthfully Yours, Nwamkpa Modestus is my name and I approve of this piece.
