IGP Badminton Tourney: Takyun Wants Players To Give Their Best

Chairman The Nigerian Police Badminton Association, Jusin Takyun has charged the badminton players to give their best and exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship in the ongoing Inspector General of Police Badminton tournament which kicked off on Wednesday at the indoor
IGP Badminton Tourney Kicked off at Police College yesterday with an exhibition match in both male and female category.
Takyum while addressing the participating officers said the tournament was put together to discover talents among the police officers and create synergy among security agencies in the country.
He admonished the participating badminton players not to see the tourney as a do or die affairs but ensure that they show spirit of sportsmanship during and after their game.
“The badminton competition was organized to discover talents among our officers who are interested in the Badminton. The competition is not a do or die affairs but I want our officers to use the competition to embrace peace, foster unity and friendliness among themselves.
“We should not forget that we have invited other security agencies for the tournament so it is duty of our officers to extend hands of fellowship to other security agencies, clubs and individuals that are taking part in the tournament, “he said.
